EMEM KING MEETS WITH SPARKLING FM DELEGATE ON GROWING CALABAR INTERNATIONAL ARTISTES (CIA)
The Made In Calabar (MIC) brand and Calabar
International Artistes (CIA) initiative is owned by Emem (KSW) King; a
Performing Musician, Record Producer and Administrator. The aforementioned
franchises were created by Emem King to foster growth amongst entertainment
practitioners in Cross River State.
Emem King, on Monday 23/07/18, in a meeting with Ugochukwu
Bamidele; the Programs Head of Sparkling 92.3FM Calabar, Naija Demand press and representatives from Trailblazer World discussed setting up cycled
platforms for Calabar International Artistes (CIA) to grow; the progressive
planning and implementation of live concerts and on air programs with the
signature of rotating indigenous sounds; a genre of Music that is viable and
not yet enjoyed on the National/International entertainment sphere.
Ugochukwu Bamidele reaffirmed Sparkling FM support for
indigenous content developers, saying they believe in local produce towards
global consumption, as we have viable homegrown Acts. Emem King commended these
views, adding that Cross River State is entertainment viable, thus a
Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) will enshrine the foundations needed to solidify
an entertainment industry in our great State.
Emem King who is also a founding member of Cross River
Entertainment Practitioners (CREP), an institution founded by Awade (Last
Prophet) Friday, Omin (Spydaman) Nyong and Sylvia Bianu. They re-positioned themselves to charge up an economic revolution for entertainment practitioners
in Cross River State, calling on all media houses to support homegrown Acts. King
presented these to Sparkling FM, pledging his immeasurable gratitude to all
media houses in Cross River State.
